HISTORY AND LORE
1,000 years ago, a pair of twin gods walked Livernia, Sarius, the God of Death, and Zeron, the Goddess of Life. Back then, origins were the only people who existed. Zeron was worshipped by everyone due to her kindness and good fortune she brought with her presence. Sarius was treated like dirt because misfortune and death seemed to follow him wherever he went. He grew jealous of his sister and plotted to exact his revenge on the origins who mistreated him. Sarius created an army of dragons to help him in his quest while Zeron created an army of her own unique creations. The battle between the siblings raged on for a long time until they ended up killing each other. Zeron’s soul split into crystals, giving rise to the natura and granting them magical powers. Unfortunately, Zeron’s army snatched the crystals and sealed them away to prevent the natura from using their power. The origins came to power due to the natura’s lack of powers and the dragons’ inability to defeat Zeron’s army. Centuries went by where the natura and dragons suffered under origin rule. That was until 18 years ago when a powerful dragon led a revolution and released the crystals. He successfully usurped the throne in the process. With their new power, the natura began an event known as the Renovation where the entire balance of power was flipped on its head. Centuries of anger and suffering gave rise to the greatest blood bath in Livernian history.

MAGIC SYSTEM
Only dragons and natura have the ability to use magic save for a few special exceptions. Since dragons were created by Sarius, they are able to use his unique magic, Malice. They draw power from the Violet Crystal, a fragment of Sarius’s soul. Natura draw their power from the Zeronic Crystals (Marigold, Rose, Bluebell, and Sunflower). There are four core species who can tap into their respective crystal’s power. Marigolds use light magic, Roses use fire, Bluebells use water, and Sunflowers use electricity. As for natura who do not fall into one of these four categories, they draw their power from the life energy emitted by the crystals. The life energy stimulates flowers and plants all over Livernia to grant powers to their respective natura species. For example, an amaryllis natura can cast magic due to amaryllis flowers imbued with life energy.

GOVERNMENT AND MILITARY
The government of Livernia is based on military hierarchy. At the top is the king of Livernia who resides in the dragon paradise city of Oakendale and has complete and utter control over the land. Stormi, the king’s right hand, enforces his decisions with the help of two commanders. Directly under them in authority are the martinets, high-ranking soldiers and champions in combat.
Under the king in terms of political power is the Floral Union, a collection of kings and queens who rule over important natura cities that house Zeronic Crystals. They can independently make decisions about their kingdoms without the approval of the king. They also serve as advisors to the king and trusted confidants. Each one of them was hand selected by the king for their incredible combat abilities and intelligence.

PROPHETS OF JOY
The Prophets of Joy are an organization of origin rebels who resist dragon and natura rule. They’re led by a mysterious man named Archangel and his monster companion, Cinder. Located in the secret city of Elizya, origins live peaceful lives free from oppression. Their goal is to rescue captive origins from peril and take back Livernia for the glory of Zeron.

RELIGION
The conflict between Livernia’s inhabitants stems from religion. Two gods are worshiped in Livernia, Zeron and Sarius. The dragons and natura worship the God of Death, Sarius. The dragons do so because they are thankful to him for creating them. The natura worship him because he is the reason Zeron’s soul split apart into the four crystals. It’s thanks to Sarius that the natura even exist at all. Both the dragons and natura believe that Sarius was right for thinking the origins evil and wish to carry on his legacy by making their lives as miserable as possible.
The Origins, on the other hand, worship the Goddess of Life, Zeron. They believe that they are superior on the grounds that they existed first, chosen by Zeron as the rightful rulers of Livernia. They view natura as wrongfully using the power of their goddess. Most Livernians use their religion as a rationale for why they are the superior people. Most believe that it is their duty to carry on the legacy of their god and make their enemies suffer. Almost all people view amalgams as unholy hybrids that must be exterminated. An origin and natura falling in love are the greatest taboo. Amalgams represent a betrayal of religion. The parents of an amalgam are promptly executed if ever found out.
